The Big Day

So, today is the big day.

I’ve been on edge all day waiting for the big news. The big news that my sister’s new baby has arrived.

It breaks my heart that I can’t be there to support her.

To hold her hand…or even just wait in the waiting room…

Instead, I’m miles and miles away. Holding my breath in anticipation of the news that the baby has arrived!

I can’t focus… I am just going through the motions of a productive day, with a result of very little production.

What I wouldn’t give to be there…to support her.

Left with supporting her from a distance.

And praying for her safe keeping. Praying that everything turns out all right.

What I wouldn’t give to share this day with her. Left with only my thoughts, wishes, and tears.

And so, this is life… sometimes left with the devastation of not being able to be with your loved one.

***The baby was born right after I finished this writing. Baby and mama are doing well ❤ ***
